312 sqft: The Little House That Could

Circa 1995

We had a few inquiries about the smallest house in Winnipeg.

No, Frodo Baggins does not live here.

Due to privacy restrictions, the address of this Elmwood home cannot be revealed.

However, we can tell you it dates to the mid-1930s with only a surface foundation. With no garage and only a 20 foot lot, its 2012 assessment is 46,400. The last recorded sale was in 2004 for the sum of $26,000.

And, if you check out the before and after pictures-you can see that Winnipeg renovators will take a crack at anything.
