Job Profile:

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the City Assessor – Director is responsible for the overall management and leadership of the Assessment and Taxation Department, its function, operations and for development, advancement and innovation within the department and its staff. This position approves all department operation plans, leads major partnerships with external stakeholders related to the department, represents the department with Mayor and Council, during budget planning and presentation and with sensitive media inquiries. This position also actively participates as a member of the City’s Senior Management Team to support the City’s mission, Council priorities and corporate initiatives.
