Farewell Message from Carol Lyons:
Finally, after more than 17 years as the Admin. Assistant to the AAOM I am really “retiring” as of December 31, 2018. I enjoyed working for the AAOM and met so many wonderful people and have so many nice memories, it makes it hard to say goodbye. Marilyn Steranka has been appointed in my place. I know she will do a great job for the AAOM and that you will treat her with the same respect that I received from all of you.

Introducing Marilyn Steranka:
The AAOM Executive Council is pleased to introduce Marilyn Steranka, who has been appointed as the Executive Director of the AAOM (a brand new title for a brand new incumbent) effective January 1, 2019.
Marilyn Steranka has over 40 years of experience in association management services, secretariat services, event planning, managing professional development conferences, marketing, fund development and providing administrative management to both public sector, private sector and professional associations. Prior to establishing her business she worked for various municipalities including the City of Ottawa, City of Calgary and City of Regina where she was the Assistant City Clerk, responsible for the Board of Revision. Marilyn is currently the Executive Director for the Saskatchewan Assessment Appraisers’ Association (SAAA) and the Manitoba Professional Planners Institute (MPPI).
Marilyn has been married to her husband Brent for 30 years and together they have three daughters and 6 grandchildren.
Marilyn looks forward to working with the AAOM and meeting our members.
