2024 AAOM Spring Conference & AGM

We are happy to open registration for the AAOM’s 67th Annual Professional Development Conference.

The conference will be held Tuesday May 7th to Thursday, May 9th 2024 at the Holiday Inn Winnipeg – Airport West Hotel, 2520 Portage Avenue.

Registration Fee of $185 for the full program.
Deadline for registration and payment of the $185 fee is Tuesday April 30th 2024. Payment by cheque to P.O. Box 2178, Station Main, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3C 3R5, E-transfer to admin@aaom.mb.ca, or on the website: https://aaom.mb.ca/forms/ If applicable

Please advise of any dietary restrictions so that alternatives can be provided.
If you are unable to attend all three days but would like to attend one of the days please reach out admin@aaom.mb.ca to discuss a prorated or daily fee.

Cut off date is April 15, 2024
Rate is $124.00 + taxes/night for standard rooms.
Check in time is 4:00 pm
Check out time is 12:00 noon

If room reservations are made after the cut off date of April 15, 2024, the nightly rate will change to the prevailing market rate and there are no guarantees on room availability.

City of Winnipeg Assessment & Taxation Staff: 

If your employer approves you to attend the conference, please send an e-mail to admin@aaom.mb.ca to indicate your registration for the 2024 Professional Development Conference no later than Tuesday April 30th, 2024. The City of Winnipeg will be direct billed for AAOM members who are City of Winnipeg Assessment & Taxation Department Staff. 

Notice is given that the A.A.O.M. Annual General Meeting will be held at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday May 8th at the Holiday Inn Winnipeg – Airport West Hotel, 2520 Portage Avenue.

All members are encouraged to attend the meeting.

AAOM Constitution:

Section 2               Nominations        

1.             Each accredited and regular member is eligible to submit nominations to the chairperson of the Nominations Committee.

2.             All written nominations must be accompanied by a signed statement from the nominee with two signatures of members in good standing two weeks prior to the annual meeting.

3.             All nominations from the floor must be accepted by the nominee in person and must be seconded in order to be valid.

4.             Where only one nominee is nominated for a particular office, that nominee shall be elected by acclamation.

A recommendation to convert the current term for the Secretary-Treasurer will be made at the AGM. This will allow for continuity on the executive, currently all terms conclude at the same time.
