Once again, January brings the annual shock from the West Coast.

The B.C. Assessment Authority has released their list for 2016 of the top valued home assessments in the province .  As always, it is hair-raising viewing.

The Vancouver Sun reports that as many as 55,000 British Columbia homeowners are now above the previous year’s  $1.1 million threshold for receiving the provincial homeowner’s grant on their property tax.

The highest assessment was $63,870,000 for a home in Vancouver’s Kitsilano district.
