Welcome to Shirley Bomak AAM, who was nominated/ elected to the position of Director for the May 2014-May 2015 term at the Annual Meeting on May 1st, 2014.
Shirley is a District Supervisor in Dauphin – and the AAOM will attempt to co-ordinate their meetings around Shirley’s visits to the City for her work related meetings.
We welcome back the four AAOM exec members who were nominated/elected to the Director positions for the upcoming term, who include Mirek Frolek, Jan Trochim AAM and Dave Doolan AAM.
Many thanks to former Director Joanne Voelpel who served on the AAOM Executive for the past four terms.
Mike Taylor AAM was nominated and elected to the position of Secretary-Treasurer for a two year term (May 2014-May 2016). Mike was appointed to the Secretary-Treasurer position in May 2013 to replace Michael Cortvriendt who was elected to the Vice-President position for a two year term at the Annual Meeting in April 2013.
Michael Cortvriendt still had one year left in the two year Secretary-Treasurer position at the time and Mike Taylor was appointed to fill the position until May 2014.
The other members of Council for 2014-2015 – whose 2 year terms end in May 2015, are Erin Reid – President; Michael Cortvriendt AAM – Vice-President; Dan Diachun AAM – Past President.
AAOM appreciates the members who take the time to volunteer to be on the Executive Council and encourages all members to consider running when the call for nominations goes out each year.
The first meeting of the “new” AAOM Executive Council will be on June 6th – at which time the Committees and Boards for the 2014-2015 term will be appointed.
